We Built You a House, Now You Better F#*&^(&^$ Like It!
You got excited about the new house you would move into. You couldn't wait to walk through and smell the new paint, new carpet new everything! But as you started spending real time in your new house, you started noticing its imperfections. The missing paint, the paint splatters, the way the drawers in the kitchen bang into the bullnose of the countertop, the way the cabinet doors don't open all the way, the tile that is layed crooked and out of line with the surrounding walls.the list literally goes on and on.
So you do what the sales girl told you to do, you call them back for the punchlist items. And then it begins. They come.eventually.And when they do come, they don't repair everything. Then, one day when you have no expectation at all, they come to your door to finish part of the list. But you now see that they didn't make the repairs correctly. That they have actually made it worse.
And you start getting the attitude.
The attitude that says that the builder is tired of your complaining. That they have done enough. That you are hard to please. And then they tell you that is all they are going to do.But they are not finished. There is more to do and what can you do?
If this is at all familiar, you own a new home and you have wrestled with a new home builder. The stories are all the same.Only the builders' name changes, but the treatments are the same except for a few good ones.
